Carry questions let you reuse questions from one step in another, automatically copying responses. This removes the need to replicate questions or manually set values.
To use carry questions:
- Select the question you want to reuse.
- In the question summary panel, next to Copy and carry value to step, choose the target step and click Go. The question is added to that step.
- Repeat for each step you want to carry the value to.
To carry a value from step one to step two, then from step two to step three, perform each carry separately. If the form returns from step three to step one and you changed the value in step two, that change resets to the default once you submit step one.
Once a question is carried from one step to another, both questions are marked so you can identify them: one arrow marks the original question, and two arrows mark the carried question.
To stop carrying a question, select the carried question and click Stop next to Stop carrying values to this question.
Note: Carry questions doesn’t support calculated or voting questions.
Note: Carry questions copies the question exactly as is. Any change made to the question in any step where it’s carried is applied to the question in all steps.
