New FlowForma application installations

In response to this, FlowForma has released FlowForma 8, the latest version of FlowForma which has no reliance on the SharePoint Application Add-in architecture. We are recommending to all new and existing customers that FlowForma 8 be used for all new FlowForma environments created from October 2024. A number of new options are now available through FlowForma Governance to make it easy to provision new FlowForma environments with the correct version. FlowForma Governance environment version options FlowForma 8: This option will create a new environment and will provision the latest version of FlowForma. FlowForma Add-in: This option will create a new environment and will install the classic FlowForma Add-in. With this option, custom scripting does not have to be enabled on your SharePoint tenant. FlowForma Add-In (Custom scripting): This option will create a new environment and will install the classic FlowForma Add-in. With this option, custom scripting must be at least temporarily enabled on your SharePoint tenant. If you are not sure as to which version to use, please contact us at support@flowforma.com and we can advise and help you.

Compatibility

FlowForma 8 offers a user experience which is aligned to SharePoint Online. All Flows built using the classic version of FlowForma are supported by FlowForma 8.
