# CRM Lookup question

> Use the CRM Lookup question to let form users pick from a drop-down populated by a Dynamics CRM entity, secured by the connection credentials you configure.

<Info>
  This question requires the **CRM connectors** feature to be enabled in **FlowForma Settings > Features**.
</Info>

Use the CRM lookup question when you want the user to select an option from a drop-down list, where the list items are maintained in a Dynamics CRM list/entity. The list is maintained directly in Dynamics CRM. FlowForma users don't require security access to the list for the lookup to show the correct results on the form, as security is provided by the credentials entered when creating the question

**Question title**: each question must have a title. It's a required field and appears on the form as a label when the user fills in the question

**Question code**: each question needs a unique code. One is generated by default when you start creating a new question, but you can overwrite this and give it a different code if you prefer. The question code won't appear on the form itself, but you can use it to search and filter questions when adding them

**Question type**: CRM lookup

**Required**: specify whether the question is required or not. If you set a question as required, the user must answer it before they can submit the form. However, the user can save a draft without answering all required questions. If they try to submit a form without answering all required questions, an error message appears listing the unanswered questions

**Question description**: it's optional whether you enter a description or not. The description is used as a tooltip on the form and adds an exclamation point beside the question. If the user clicks the exclamation point, the description (tooltip) appears

**Publish question as list field**: check this box to save the question to the SharePoint forms list. This allows you to report on the question from there

**Server**: provide the name of the CRM server

**Client Id**: provide the client ID that has permissions to connect to the CRM server

**Secret**: provide the secret for the client ID above

**Connection**: once you've provided the server, client ID, and secret, click **Connect** to establish a connection to the CRM server

**Entity set**: select the entity set (more information on entity sets can be found here)

**Entity field**: select a field from the entity set above; this is what will be displayed on the form. You can't select this until you've specified an entity set in the item above. Only the following field types can be selected: single line of text, date and time, and multiple lines of text. Choice and lookup fields cannot be selected

**Show question title on form**: check this option if you want to display the question's title to the left of the input field. If you uncheck this option, the input field moves to the left and appears right under the other questions/question titles

**Place title on top**: check this option to display the question's title above the input field. If you uncheck this option, the title appears to the left of the input field, as normal

**Render, but hide question on form**: if you check this option, the question behaves as shown by default (default value, publishing, and calculation apply). However, the question is not displayed on the form

Once you've entered all relevant information, click **Save**. If you don't want to save the question or the changes you've made, click **Close**
