Title
The first part of the business rule lets you define a title for your rule and select the event on which it operates. The default title is the standard FlowForma rule name; change it by deleting the text and entering your own. In the event field you determine when the rule is executed. For a flow this can occur when the form is loaded, started, or completed. For a step this can occur when the step is started, saved, or completed. For questions it can occur when the question is updated.Rule condition(s)
The second part of the business rule lets you set conditions. These are not required, but if entered they control when the rule is executed in relation to other items in the form.Rule actions
- Select repeating table: this is the repeating table you use to export the data from. When you click on the field, a drop-down list with all steps that contain a repeating table will appear. Select the relevant one.
- Use app permissions: check this to run the export using the app’s permissions rather than the current user’s, allowing the rule to write to a list the user may not have direct access to.
- Select list: click the field and choose the list you want to update. You can select the list in two ways: Selected list to pick a list directly, or List URL defined in a question to point at a question that holds the URL of the target list.
- Prevent exporting of empty rows: check this to skip blank repeating table rows so they are not exported to the destination list.

Data mapping
The mapping type determines how the exported data will be added to the list:- Append - the exported data will be appended to the list; any existing records will not be modified. If the repeating table contains 5 rows, the same number of records will be added to the destination list.
- Overwrite - the exported data will be matched to existing records, which will be updated based on the details provided in the next section, Record matching. Any repeating table rows that cannot be matched will be added to the destination list.
Append mapping

- Source question: this is the question where the record to be exported is located. When you click on the arrow, it shows a drop-down list with all the questions in the selected source repeating table.
- List field: shows a drop-down list with all the columns contained in the selected SharePoint list. When you select the list field, the value from the source question is appended or updated to that column.
Form properties mappings
You can use these properties to map the form properties (Form Id and Form Title) to the list fields.- Set list field: shows you a drop-down list with all the columns of the SharePoint list.
- Form properties: contains the form ID and the form title.
Overwrite mapping

Record matching
To use the overwrite mapping type, you need to specify the row that should be updated.- Repeating table column: contains a drop-down list of all the questions in the flow, so you can select the question you want to update in the list. Set the matching columns for the repeating table and the destination list; one or more columns may be matched. This record in the list will then be updated as a result.
- Condition: the only available condition is Equals.
- List field: contains a drop-down list of all the columns of the selected list. Select the list column to match with the field in the repeating table.
- Source question: specify the mapping for the remaining columns. Columns used for record matching do not need to be added again in this section.
- List field: shows you a drop-down list with all the columns of the SharePoint list. This list field will be overwritten by the value from the source question field.
- Set list field: shows you a drop-down list with all the columns of the SharePoint list.
- Form properties: contains the form ID and the form title.
- Stop execution: if stop execution is enabled and this rule is executed, no other rules are executed.
- Enabled: rules aren’t saved to a list like questions and steps are, so if you want to stop a rule executing without deleting it, toggle this option to enable or disable the rule.
- Enable audit: if checked, a record is added to the audit trail when this rule is executed. This option is available when the Compliance feature pack is activated.
