This rule allows you to automatically reassign a step to a different user after a certain period of time has elapsed without requiring a user action. You can set this time period in days or hours. FlowForma steps are always assigned to a user or a team (group), who must submit a step for the process to move onto the next step. Assigned steps are referred to as work items. Reassign work item is part of the work items feature, which must be purchased separately and is only available for Office 365. Reassign work item rule configuration

Title

The first part of the business rule lets you define a title for your rule and select the event on which it operates. The default title is the standard FlowForma rule name; change it by deleting the text and entering your own. In the event field you determine when the rule is executed. For a flow this can occur when the form is loaded, started, or completed. For a step this can occur when the step is started, saved, or completed. For questions it can occur when the question is updated.

Rule condition(s)

The second part of the business rule lets you set conditions. These are not required, but if entered they control when the rule is executed in relation to other items in the form.

Rule actions

  • Template: the email template sent to the new owner of a step when it’s reassigned. By default, the Reassign notification email template is selected, but you can create and select your own email template.
  • Select step(s): allows you to select the step to be reassigned.
  • Select assignment: allows you to define who will be assigned as the new owner of the step.
  • Enabled: if the rule isn’t enabled, it won’t execute.
Note: this rule only executes once, it isn’t a recurring event like the alerts.
